John Frusciante Officially Leaves The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Today on December 19 2009, John Frusciante, guitarst for the Red Hot Chili Peppers offically left the band; confirming rumors spread over the internet. However there was no anger or words traded. Frusciante's relase was on good terms and the rest of the band supported him on his choice.

He had this to say about his departure:

"To put it simply, my musical interests have led me in a different direction. Upon rejoining, and throughout my time in the band, I was very excited about exploring the musical possibilities inherent in a rock band, and doing so with those people in particular. A couple of years ago, I began to feel that same excitement again, but this time it was about making a different kind of music, alone, and being my own engineer. I really love the band and what we did. I understand and value that my work with them means a lot to many people, but I have to follow my interests".

In my opinion, im am neither angry or too surprised over this. John has said that he enjoyed makeing his own music many times before in his carreer with RHCP, and he made his own music in the Two and a Half year Hiatus that the band was in from 2007-mid 2009.

The Only thing that suprised me was that he left during the slated recording for their album set to be relaed in mid 2010. This will surely set back album preduction by a a lot.

As for Frusciante returning to the band, that seems to be unclear; but if he does decide to return, he will be welcomed with open arms.
